If you are a big consumer brand, says Kathryn Kneller, you can’t get away from internal comms. It’s unavoidable.
“If somebody who works for a big mobile phone company goes to the pub with friends, one of them might say ‘Why is my mobile signal so bad?’,” she says. “How do they know what to say?”
“Companies with big consumer brands recognise that their employees can be advocates for the company, in person, but also online and on social media,” she says.
