A lot can happen in 12 months. The past year is a perfect example: yet despite the political, economic, technological and social upheavals of 2025, the professional services sector has remained resilient. At the beginning of 2025, the PM Forum and Meridian West Strategy & Marketing Benchmark showed a return to optimism across the professional services sector following a gloomier picture in 2023 and 2024. At the start of 2026 we now see levels of optimism across the sector have remained steady in spite of rising external risks in the operating environment.
