Driving innovation through “University-Business Collaboration” to achieve a competitive edge
The University of Manchester has worked on a number of high profile and award winning research, knowledge transfer and collaboration projects with numerous professional services firms, achieving some staggering results. Projects have ranged from embedding and exploiting smart data driven technologies within audit functions, developing AI technology for legal insurance teams, using AI for enhanced decision making at scale and much more.
In this session, we’ll hear from Business Engagement Manager Rachel Kenyon, who’ll share the University’s approach to business engagement, knowledge exchange, collaborative research and innovation, highlighting the many ways organisations can access academic expertise, research capability and talent.
We’ll then hear from Professor Nadia Papimichail who will be showcasing an award-wining Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Alliance Manchester Business School and Law Firm Jackson Lees Group (part of the MAPD Group)
The project was recognised as “Outstanding” by Innovate UK for combined advanced data science and behavioural psychology to transform client engagement and service delivery within the legal sector.
A representative from the Jackson Lees Group will also join the discussion to provide the business perspective on the collaboration, sharing insights into the challenges addressed, lessons learned and the benefits achieved through working with the University. Together, the speakers will demonstrate how university-business partnerships can drive innovation, support organisational transformation and deliver sustainable business growth
Hope you can join your peers.
