Neurodiversity is having its moment in the spotlight. If it’s not featured in a national headline, it’s in a magazine column or going viral on social media. Neurodiversity describes the different ways people’s brains work, while being neurodivergent means having a brain that functions differently from the ‘neurotypical’ average. This includes well-known conditions, such as autism and ADHD, but also conditions like OCD, bipolar disorder and some anxiety disorders.
